Single-variety native rice, handmade nuruk, clean water — that’s all that’s inside a bottle of Baekkyung rice wine. Yet the result is anything but simple.

Baekkyung Distillery is a young brewery steeped in tradition—its founders draw on generations of family medicinal wine-making knowledge to craft exceptional, authentic rice wines for the modern palate.
The brewery cultivates its own rice fields, where they grow heritage Korean rice that has been carefully restored from centuries past. Baekkyung also makes their own nuruk—a traditional Korean fermentation starter that harnesses spontaneous fermentation through wild yeasts and molds, giving liquors a distinctive, terroir‑driven character similar to natural wines.
The Baekkyung team brews beautiful yakju as a rule, and Baekkyung 15 Premium is the best of the best. Nuanced and expressive, with a deep aroma and flavor that develops new expressions with each sip, it is a truly sensational wine.
We pick up notes of fruit, sweet birch, corn silk tea, and nutty rice. What about you?
